It is mainly sourced from regions known for lavender cultivation such as southern France, Spain, and western Turkey. This honey is recognized for its light golden hue and aromatic profile, which includes floral and subtle herbal notes. Its mild yet distinct taste makes it a popular choice among those who appreciate specialty honeys.

How is Lavender Honey Produced?

Lavender honey is harvested during the lavender flowering season, typically from June to August. Beekeepers place their hives near blooming lavender fields so that the bees forage almost exclusively on lavender. The nectar collected is processed by the bees within the hive into honey, which is later extracted by cold-extraction methods. This technique avoids heat exposure, helping preserve the honey’s natural texture and aromatic components.

How to Use Lavender Honey?

Lavender honey can be enjoyed in various ways depending on personal preference. Some common uses include:
